BASIC WARDROBE S/S AND CEROLIMITES: A perfect Match!

The Basic Wardrobe is our best ally when dressing, and in spring-summer, when the warm weather, the colorful and the need to renew our image arrive, much more. If in addition we learn to reinvent it with seasonal garments and interesting brands, we can get the most of it!.

This week in AF Moda we have made a post in collaboration with the brand Cero Limites, and we have created some simple but full of personality looks combining their wonderful T-Shirts with garments of a basic wardrobe.

But let's start by remembering what the basic wardrobe is: is the one that contains the basic clothing that we constantly use from one year to another. We can wear these garments repeatedly and we can also combine them with what we already have or with trendy garments, and if they are of good quality, we can reuse and make the most of them.

Let´s keep in mind that pattern and long of these garments, as well as the thickness of their fabrics will depend on the physiognomy and style of each person. The important thing is that we choose those that we feel better with, and especially allowing us to feel comfortable and beautiful at all times. The personal image we project has a lot to do with how we feel about ourselves, and therefore, it´s very important that we choose garments that enhance our self-esteem, making us feel good with our appearance and the way we show ourselves to the world.

FASHION TRENDS S/S2015: Smart Shopping (Part 2)

Fashion Trends S/S 2015 are the main theme of AF Moda´s posts during the next few days. Last week we published the First Part of our trilogy, and talked about the four key elements to consider when buying fashionable clothes each season: colors, prints, fabrics and garments key. This week will see the different ways we can combine these seasonal fashion garments, resulting in different styles for women.

Fashion Trends S/S 2015 offer many style alternatives. Remember that the style is the image we project in terms of how we dress and behave. Each season, designers propose with the way they mix garments different "styles" of woman, which somehow also become trend to imitate by fashion consumers. In AF Moda we always suggest to study well the styles each season are proposed, and choose that or those with whom we feel more identified, adapting them to our wardrobe, our personal taste and our economic possibilities. In this fashion, "not everything is for everyone," and as consumers of fashion should be fully aware of it to handle it in our favor.

Let's take a look to the styles that the Fashion Trends S/S 2015 brings:

70S STYLE:

This style imitates the aesthetics of this era. Are notable the high waists and flared pants, bohemian style dresses, crochet garments, psychedelic prints, the shoulder bags and the big sunglasses.

ORIENTAL STYLE:

It is inspired by the delicacy of the Asian world. Are notable the embroidery work, Quipao dresses, kimonos, prints of herons and water lilies, the Zori sandals and wide belts Obi type.

SPANISH STYLE:

A style that rescues the elements of Spanish folklore, moving them to fashion but only in details, never in a total look. Are notable the frills, fringes, dots print, carnations in the hair, the bolero-type jackets and manila shawls.

MILITARY STYLE:

This style has become constant in fashion, and what it does is to interpret the dress of the soldiers and militia "in fashion code". Are notable the baggy trousers, bomber jackets, the military style´s button fastening, the booty sandals, and the khaki-denim combination.

ROCK FESTIVAL STYLE:

It is inspired by the looks of the great rock icons as David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones. Are notable the colorful, mix of prints, leather pants, the biker jackets, details with glitter, and especially the stars in prints and accessories.

MALE STYLE:

This style takes the pattern of male clothing, but translating it into feminine and minimalist code. Are notable the suits, masculine trousers, the classic white shirt, bow ties, the Oxford shoes and briefcase style bag.

TRIBAL STYLE:

It rescues the ethnic elements and interprets them in fashion code. Are notable the long dresses, skirts made of natural and organic fabrics, vests, fringes, beads, animal print, and tribal-inspired accessories.

SAFARI STYLE:

A style that invites us to the urban adventure, to discover our wild and explorer side. Are notable the earth and khaki tones, Saharans jackets, trench, leather sandals, short neck scarves and animal print accessories.

HARD ROCK STYLE:

It is inspired by the style of metal rockers, but reinterpreting their image  and filling it with style and femininity. Are notable the total black looks, the bikers jackets, perforated garments, corset style tops, studs and chains, and high-waisted pants.

Once again Fashion Trends  S/S 2015 offers many possibilities to be the "woman / Style" we want to be, depending on our personality, the occasion, the place we go and our physical type. In magazines and fashion blogs, you will find many tips and advices to dress in these styles, so be attentive to the ideas that they provide.

TENDENCIAS DE MODA O/I 2014-2015: Compras Inteligentes (Parte 1)

Estrenamos el otoño, y en AF Moda estamos felices con este cambio de estación. Se acabó el veranito y ya  los escaparates de las tiendas se llenan de abrigos, chaquetas, colores oscuros y prendas nuevas, anunciando las tendencias que vendrán para la próxima temporada.  Y en consecuencia, como ya es tradición en AF Moda, comenzamos nuestra trilogía de posts de “Compras Inteligentes de Tendencias Otoño/Invierno 2014-2015”. 

Lo llamamos Compras Inteligentes porque en esta trilogía de posts aconsejamos a nuestras lectoras con tips sencillos y racionales para adquirir, siempre dentro de sus posibilidades, las prendas y complementos idóneos al estilo, personalidad y fisionomía de cada quien. Ello implica necesariamente controlar la compra compulsiva y llevar, como solemos aconsejar, “de la moda sólo lo que acomoda”. 

Siempre les recordamos que durante los próximos meses encontrarán muchísimos artículos en blogs, revistas y páginas especializadas de moda sobre las próximas tendencias, así que estén atentos para mantenerse al día con lo que vendrá porque la temporada ya esta en marcha. Esperamos que nuestra trilogía les sirva de punto de partida y de inspiración para recibir el otoño y el invierno con entusiasmo y la mejor disposición de ánimo hacia el mundo de la moda. Como siempre decimos, existen cuatro elementos clave a tener en cuenta en cada temporada de moda: los colores, los estampados, los tejidos y sus acabados, y las prendas clave (aquellas que aparecen renovadas cada temporada y gozan de mayor éxito, con lo cual estarán en todos los puntos de venta). Cuando compramos alguna prenda nueva o buscamos en nuestro fondo de armario  qué de lo que tenemos podría usarse nuevamente en la temporada, en la medida que logremos que tenga alguna o varias de estas características, ya nos aseguramos que vamos por el camino correcto dentro de las tendencias de moda y estaremos “a la moda”.

Con tener y/o comprar algunas prendas o complementos que encajen en alguna o varias de estas características, lograremos ya ir un poco dentro de las tendencias de la nueva temporada de moda. Si queremos ir todavía más allá, nos toca adentrarnos en el terreno del estilo, que será el tema de la segunda parte de esta trilogía: Estilos de mujer para Otoño/Invierno 2014-2015.

Fall is here, and in AF Moda we are very happy with this change of season. Summer ended and now shop windows are full of coats, jackets, dark colors and new garments, announcing the trends to come for next season. And therefore, as is tradition in AF Moda, we begin our trilogy of posts called "Smart Shopping Trends Fall/Winter 2014-2015."

We call it Smart Shopping because in this trilogy of posts we advise our readers with simple and rational tips to acquire, within each one possibility, clothing and accessories suitable to your style, personality and physiognomy. This implies necessarily take control of compulsive shopping and, as we advise, “taking from fashion only what fits us."
